Access to the circle:

Description:

A disappointing site to visit and quite ruinous. In summer it is engulfed by bracken and apart from a few stones that are clearly visible, it is difficult to make out as a circle. One stone stands noticeably taller than the rest at about 1.1m, the others are about 0.7m and they form only part of an arc. There are good views out to sea and the Tor of Carn Galver is prominent in the distance. Not a circle I would recommend visiting especially as there are so many other excellent sites in the District.
Porthmeor (Treen Common)
These are the only obvious stones that make up this ruined circle. The flags on this photograph were placed along the road side for the 1999 eclipse and show the closeness of the road.
Porthmeor (Treen Common)
This is the largest stone at the site, in the background can be seen the Tor of Carn Galver.
