Access to the circle:

An easy to circle to visit. It lies only 50m along a forestry road and is sign posted. Its sits in a small clearing in the forest to the right of the road.

Description:

Seven stones remain upright in this neat woodland ring. One, a flanker has fallen, the recumbent stone is boulderous. The stones surround a pit / depression near the centre and a few rocks are strewn about the grassy interior. This is a pleasant little circle and clearly recognisable, even though it is not in perfect condition. Easily reached, neat and impressive. Two other circles, Esslie the Greater and Esslie the Lesser, are in the same vicinity as Garrol Wood and although they are not as impressive, they are worth taking a look at.
