Access to the circle:

At the end of the Fernworthy forest road there is a track that leads from a parking area up a slope and into the forest. The Fernworthy stone circle lies about 500m along this track and on the right hand side in a large clearing in the trees.

Description:

This is a very neat ring of 27 stones that are clearly graded in height towards the south arc of the ring. One stone, which is slightly larger than the rest, stands at the south and is 1.2m high. A few stones stretch south from the circle to the nearby forest track and these are the remains of a stone row, the tallest of these stands at 0.55m high. Fernworthy's light coloured stones stand prominent in the clearing in the trees, it is a pleasing circle to visit and in very good condition.
