Description:

Probably one of the best preserved and most dramatic stone circles in England, it is in excellent condition and well maintained. The many large stones stand in a natural amphitheatre of mountainous scenery with excellent views in all directions. The circle is well documented and a visit is must for anyone touring the lake district. There is plenty of information available on this site so I don't think there's any need to add any more here.
